What Are Discipleship Groups?
Discipleship groups are the heart of spiritual growth on MKDSCPLS. A group brings together a leader and participants to walk through courses, reading plans, and conversations together — providing accountability, encouragement, and community.
Why Groups Matter
- Grow together — Study Scripture and course content as a community
- Stay accountable — Regular meetings and progress tracking keep everyone engaged
- Build relationships — Shared study creates bonds that extend beyond the group
How Groups Connect to Courses and Reading Plans
Each group can be linked to a course. When assigned, every member is automatically enrolled. Groups can also connect to reading plans for a shared daily rhythm of Scripture reading.
Group Types
- One-on-One — A mentor and a single participant for deep, personal discipleship
- Small Group — The most common format (4-8 people meeting regularly)
- Large Group — For classes or church-wide studies
